"We are aware that it will take time"

Compared to last year at the same period, CGR cinemas, 73 cinemas distributed throughout France, recorded a drop of 30% in their attendance. "We are aware that this will take time. But in a context of school recovery, good weather, post Covid, these are rather encouraging figures. Compared to last year, we will obviously suffer economically, but it there are nevertheless indicators which prove that the spectators want to return in room ", rejoices David Scantamburlo. On Monday, some 15,000 tickets were sold.

70% of attendance compared to last year at CGR, 60% in another large network of theaters: the recovery seems to have started. Some films have also restarted well. The good wife , for example, signed Martin Provost and worn by Juliette Binoche, recorded 20,000 admissions in the day alone on Monday. The world of cinema is now impatiently waiting for the weekend to scrutinize the tickets and see if young people and families are coming back in numbers in theaters.
