"I was waiting for this moment as at Mass at the time of elevation"

"There was still a succulent moment for me: each time I saw Sibeth [Ndiaye] arrive in the evening," laughs Pierre Perret. "She 'buttered my labels' every day. I was waiting for this moment like mass at the time of the rise," added the 85-year-old singer.

And for good reason, in "Les confinis", the government spokesperson is directly quoted: "The spokesperson her name is Sibeth / Some people think she is aptly named / We feel that the slightest idea that comes up / Triggers a hurricane in the lemon, "he sings.

"I got up at night to write down verses"

In the same way as "all those who made fun of us every day, who announced bullshit and the opposite the next day", the government spokesperson was therefore one of the people who upset Pierre Perret during the crisis point. But who also inspired him. The popular singer thus took three weeks to write the text of "Confinis". "I got up at night to write down all the worms that were happening to me," he says. "In the morning, on the bedside table, I had lots of stuff and I was exhausted every time I got up at six or seven in the morning because I couldn't take it any more," he says. , amused.

Since the song was released on YouTube, Pierre Perret has received words of thanks, especially from nurses. Returns that particularly affect him. "It's wonderful, it exhilarates a little somewhere," he says. "There are so many people who thought that out loud that someone had to try to say it out loud," sums up the singer. He will play "Les confinis" during his new tour, "Mes adieux provisionoires", at the Salle Pleyel in Paris on October 10 and 11 as well as throughout France, Belgium, and Switzerland.
