June 22, on the Day of Remembrance and Sorrow, on the NTV channel, the premiere of the detective series Alex Lyuty was held. The tape is based on the true story of collaborator Alexander Yukhnovsky (later - Mironenko). During the Great Patriotic War, he served in the ranks of the German secret field police.

In 1944, Yukhnovsky, hiding his past, under the name of Mironenko joined the Red Army. The criminal managed to keep his secret for more than 30 years, but in 1975 he was exposed. The court found the punisher involved in the killing of more than 2 thousand people. It was noted that Alex Lyuty (as the Germans called him) approached his tasks with particular cruelty. Yukhnovsky-Mironenko was sentenced to death.

The plot of the series is the murder of a writer who in 1975 worked on a book about Alex Lute. After the arrest of the former commander of the German secret police, Otto Körner, the murdered man managed to get documents, from which it was clear that Lyuty, who was considered dead in 1944, is still alive.

Shortly before his death, the writer passes this information to the head of the special department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the search for war criminals. Employees of the department, Colonel Yegor Sukharev (Sergey Puskepalis) and Senior Lieutenant Boris Kasyanov (Alexei Kirsanov), begin an investigation into the murder and search for Alex Lyuty. The task is complicated by the fact that the attacker stole documents, among which were a fresh letter to Alex from Körner and a photograph of a collaborator.

The events of the film unfold in two eras: viewers are invited not only to observe the progress of the investigation, but also to discover the details of Lyutogo's biography, which formed the personality of the collaborator.

The surname of the central character from "Yukhnovsky" was replaced by "Lekhnovsky." In an interview with RT, the director of the project Leonid Belozorovich told why he and his colleagues took such a step.

“This is still a feature film, not a documentary. Some facts are not far-fetched, but still a little dramatic. Therefore, I proposed the name of Yukhnovsky to be slightly changed. So that no one would have any questions about the fact that a little bit made some kind of inaccuracy in his biography. This gave us the opportunity to bring dramatic freedom, ”said the director.

The role of the young Alex Lyutogo was played by Vlad Konoplev (he previously starred in the TV series "Relatives" and "Champions Moms"). The tape shows the path of his character from the Soviet schoolboy to the punisher. The director said that, in his opinion, contributed to these metamorphoses:

“The most dangerous thing for a person is the test of power. Power begets permissiveness. It breeds impunity. This is the worst thing that happened to our Yukhnovsky. It seems to me that Otto Körner was such a very (subtle. - RT ) psychologist. And he was interested from the boy whom he saw in front of him - a Russian such, handsome, somewhere naive, somewhere, probably touching - to blind this demon. See ... what will come of it. "

The creators of the series with meticulousness recreated the atmosphere of the 1970s. As the leading actor Sergey Puskepalis noted in RT commentary, “on the set, everyone tried very hard and wanted to have the surroundings and atmosphere of those years, that era.”

So, the Dynamo match of the Kiev club against the Budapest Ferencvaros in the final of the 1975 UEFA Cup Winners Cup is becoming an important clue to the investigation. Attention is also drawn to details regarding the life of Soviet citizens: for example, renting, renting out and exchanging housing in the 1970s were illegal.

The screen shows costumes, interiors, and appliances of those years. Long before the ubiquity of mobile communications, police officers use phones in cars. Transport also clearly corresponds to the era, and authentic cars are involved in believable action scenes. Recreated the Soviet atmosphere in St. Petersburg and Pyatigorsk.

In total, 12 episodes of the series will be released.
