Hugh Jackman will play the famous Italian automaker at a pivotal period in his life: the late 1950s, when he thinks of stopping everything after the loss of his son. Production of the film, directed by Michael Mann, is scheduled to start in 2021.

Hugh Jackman will immerse himself in the skin of an automotive giant. The American actor will play Enzo Ferrari, the Italian driver nicknamed "Il Commendatore", converted to a car manufacturer in the mid-1920s.

Cars of the era reconstituted

Robert de Niro and Christian Bale were slated to play the role, but the choice of director Michael Mann ultimately fell on the interpreter of Wolverine in the X-Men saga . The film will take place in the summer of 1957. Enzo Ferrari is 60 years old, he has just lost his son, his marriage is in jeopardy, but it is through racing that he will find the strength to rebuild himself.
