“Six fires on the lands of the forest fund on an area of ​​21,820 ha in the Chukotka Autonomous Okrug, 19 fires on an area of ​​8,408 ha in the Kamchatka Territory, nine fires on an area of ​​1,412 ha in the Magadan Region,” the TASS report cites.

In addition, forest fires in Yakutia and Buryatia are extinguished on an area of ​​about 500 ha and 400 ha, respectively.

Centers of fire are also recorded in the Krasnoyarsk Territory, in the Irkutsk and Murmansk regions, in Karelia and in the Sverdlovsk region.

More than 1.6 thousand people and 277 units of equipment are involved in the field. 29 planes and helicopters were involved in the extinguishing.

Over the past day, forest fire services eliminated 43 natural fires on an area of ​​over 1.4 thousand ha.

Earlier, in the Penzhinsky district of Kamchatka Krai, an emergency regime was introduced due to 11 ongoing forest fires.
