“Starting today, we will publish fact-checking information in the Google Images section,” the statement said.
Representatives of the company explained that under the image icon in the “Pictures” section of the search engine, the “Fact Check” icon will appear, when clicked, users will be able to see the results of the check.
The verification will relate to the accuracy of the facts associated with the image itself, or the articles in which it was used.
In December, Google named the most popular search queries in Russia.
