On the occasion of the release of his new single entitled "All the divorced", Bénabar was the guest of Mathieu Noël in L'Équipée sauvage on Europe 1. The singer wanted to emphasize that "some" of his colleagues had abused lives on Instagram during confinement, with humor.

INTERVIEW

During the confinement, Bénabar did not escape the trend. The 51-year-old artist also tried his hand at performing live on social networks, like many artists. But the singer did not abuse it and observed the others well so as not to reproduce the same errors, as he confided to Mathieu Noël in the Équipée Sauvage on Europe 1.

"Without criticizing my brothers and sisters, I found that there had been many. I found that there were too many, so I did not want to add to it. Some have abused it in a devouring way", launched Bénabar, who took advantage of the confinement to release a new single entitled " Tous les divorcés ".

"The sound is really rotten"

With this first extract from his next album, the ninth which will be released in the fall, Bénabar had to use social networks and lives on Instagram to promote it, especially in this singular period.

"It's pretty intimidating because there are comments scrolling. We read a little at the same time and we get tangled up. The sound is really rotten, so I don't think it's really to our advantage this type of concert at home ", regrets the interpreter of the hit" Le Dinner ".

"I find it a bit unhealthy"

On a tone of humor, Bénabar also made fun of his peers who took advantage of the phenomenon to address their fans. "It was in the guest bedroom, where behind there is still the trace of the Picasso that we removed. To tell them: 'I am like you' and with this false proximity that we often find on Instagram. I think some have abused it and I find it a little unhealthy. "

And to Mathieu Noël's question: "Will you compose a song on containment? Or on the contrary you say to yourself, all the bad singers will make a song on containment, will I stay on top of that?" . Bénabar sweeps up and down: "I wouldn't put it that way, but that's how I think it (laughs)."
