China News Service, June 21, according to Hong Kong’s Wen Wei Po, the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government issued HK$10,000 to Hong Kong permanent residents over 18 years of age and began accepting applications today (21st). Members of the public can submit an application via bank or Hongkong Post and register electronically through the bank. It will be available on July 8 at the earliest, which is nearly two weeks faster than the written application, and the tax of HK$10,000 is not required.

According to reports, in recent years, there have been numerous fraud incidents. The public should pay attention to that there is no need to pay any fees for applying for money; nor can they apply for joint accounts to avoid disputes.

The Hong Kong Government urges the public not to rush to register on the first day, as long as they successfully register electronically at the end of the month. The plan has 5 application channels, which are registered electronically or in writing via bank and post. About 1,000 bank branches and post offices were opened today to receive application forms.

The report pointed out that the first day of the written application will be open to eligible citizens born in 1955 or before, and the payment will be made as soon as July 20. Those who were born between 1956 and 70 began to apply on July 5. Those who were born between 1971 and 2002 only started to apply on July 19. The two groups of people will receive payments on August 3 and 17, respectively.
