From mid-May, the Minister of Culture, Franck Riester, had confirmed the organization of the Fête de la Musique, while remaining subject to certain health rules, the coronavirus being still in circulation in the territory.
The event can therefore take place, but in a new format. Exit "spontaneous concerts" and "gatherings of more than ten people", except for those subject to authorization from the prefecture.

Musical strolls and digital concerts on the coast
On the French Riviera, it will be possible to enjoy this musical festival. Some cities have adapted. In Cannes and Mouans-Sartoux, we bet on digital. A closed-door concert "Live summer with a fanfare!" " at 17 o'clock,in the gardens of the Cannes Conservatory, will be broadcast live on the city's Facebook page and the social networks of the participating orchestras. The Music4hereos association will organize a concert from 6.30 p.m. also broadcast on the same Facebook page.
Finally, the Cannes Orchestra will perform live at 8:30 p.m. on its social networks - Facebook and YouTube - and on the speakers at La Bocca market square, the Cannes press release informs.
In Mouans-Sartoux, from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., a Facebook live DJ set will be broadcast live on the Facebook page of the media library. In Antibes and Juan-Les-Pins, acoustic walks are offered. The curious can circulate according to a well-defined trajectory, from 6.30 p.m. to 10.30 p.m., to enjoy the music without remaining static. The full concert program here.

Festive bars and restaurants
In all the bars and restaurants on the Coast who wish to do so, activities linked to the music festival are authorized. They will be able to share their musical event with their customers. The only condition, recalled by the prefecture, is to remain vigilant not to generate "uncontrolled gatherings on the public highway", recalls the Prefect.
