In this new edition of Eco from here Éco elsewhere, Jean-Pierre Boris questions his guests about the situation of the French economy. The latest figures are less worrying than expected. This does not mean, however, that we are at the end of bad news.

In France, the economic machinery, as in many countries, was put on hold for two months. Since May 11, 2020, they are supposed to gradually start shooting again. But, these cogs creak. The situation of the French economy is delicate. After these weeks of paralysis, it is still difficult to measure the extent of the damage: unemployment, deindustrialisation, economic weakening of the country. The President of the Republic Emmanuel Macron tried, during his address on Sunday June 14, to outline the outline of a recovery plan.

This recovery plan is still unclear. But, already very large sums have been put on the table at the disposal of the economy. 500 billion euros according to the French head of state. Are these sums invested wisely? Are they a temporary remedy, or do they help initiate the long-awaited economic recovery? The worst is certain. These are some of the questions that will be asked in this program to our two guests.
