The stars of "Killing Eve", Jodi Comer and Sandra Oh - AdMedia / Starface

With an actress of Asian origin in the leading role, the series Killing Eve  does not seem to be a bad student when it comes to diversity. Except that it is quite different behind the scenes of the successful program which is preparing to return for a fourth season. It all started with a snapshot posted on Twitter and since withdrawn by Kayleigh Llewellyn, one of the writers of the series. "Fifteen weeks later, this is the last day of writing for Killing Eve,  " she added in caption to a snapshot showing the nine members of the team, seven women and two men, who happen to be all white.

And many Internet users were quick to point the finger at this lack of diversity.

Uneven writing?

Killing Eve has an Asian actress in the lead, but none of the writers is Asian? Rebelled a surfer.

For another tweet, this is the reason why the character of Sandra Oh would be less well written than that portrayed by Jodie Comer. Finally, a last noted:

With Sandra Oh literally making history as the first woman of Asian descent to win multiple Golden Globes and they can't hire one non white person to help pen the story behind the scenes? Maybe they need to have a helpful conversation with @BeatsOrg https://t.co/rBtQVxT4Ac

"While Sandra Oh literally made history by being the first Asian woman to win multiple Golden Globes, can't they hire a non-white person to help write the story behind the scenes?" "

However, it should be noted that Sandra Oh, who has not yet reacted to the controversy, wore the executive producer cap for the third season of Killing Eve . There is therefore little doubt that she will have had a say in the writing of this new season.
