According to the JR East Hachioji branch office, it was a male driver in his 40s who was infected between the Tokyo and Otsuki stations on the Chuo line and Tachikawa and Ome stations on the Ome line.

The driver had a coughing symptom on the 11th of this month, and then had a fever, and on the 18th, an antigen test was conducted to check if he had a virus, and he was positive.

He said he was on the office until the 15th of this month, but he wears a mask during work and regularly disinfects the inside of the vehicle, and according to a survey conducted by the public health center, there are no heavy contacts with passengers.

JR disinfects the place where the driver was working and is also confirming that there are no heavy contacts inside the company.
