Emirati radio actor and director Mohammed Al Janahi is considered one of the pioneers of art in the UAE as he began his artistic career in 1967 and participated in many TV, radio and theatrical series in many Gulf and Arab countries in addition to television works in the Emirates, bringing to more than 200 TV works Between series, episodes and evenings.

Al-Janahi was nicknamed the "Dean of Emirati Art" and one of his symbols, and he is credited with establishing the artistic and dramatic movement in the Emirates.

He was born in 1940 and started his artistic career in 1967. He was one of the most famous artists of his time in the Emirates and the Arab world, and he was appointed as the first ambassador of Emirati art in Kuwait, Jordan, Syria and Egypt.

Al-Janahi is best known for the personality of “McDet”, which he presented in the Shafhan series, which is one of the works that gained wide fame in the Emirates and the Gulf states and one of the most famous and oldest works presented by Muhammad Al-Janahi to television, and it is still being broadcasted on satellite channels to this day, and it is one of the works that won Very famous in the Emirates.

Shefan spanned 37 episodes with a purposeful comedic character and marked the start of Al Janahi and his companions. One of the most famous TV works for him.

It is noteworthy that, before his death, Al-Janahi traveled to Singapore where he was on a medical trip, but Al-Minyah passed away there in the year 2008, at the age of 68.
