Falsely accused of not being a nurse, Farida C., whose images of the arrest on Tuesday in Paris have gone viral, is now confused, still wrongly, with a former candidate of La France Insoumise (LFI) on the networks social.

She was confused for Farida Amrani, who ran in the European elections for this party in 2019. Farida Amrani explained in 2019 to work as a supervisor in a metropolitan area and to be elected a union. She also sits in opposition to the municipal council of Evry.

20 Minutes was able to consult the nurse's fact sheet, which confirms that the caregiver and the former LFI candidate are two separate persons. Besides their different surnames, the year of birth of Farida C., which appears on the document, is not the same as that of Farida Amrani, who was born in 1976, according to L'Obs . Benjamin Amar, spokesman for the CGT, had also confirmed that Farida C. works well for the AP-HP (Public Assistance-Hospitals of Paris).

Farida Amrani responded with humor to the accusation, bringing her "total support" to the nurse. However, she made a slight mistake when she named the caregiver "Farida M."

Farida C. had quickly obtained the support of elected officials from La France insoumise, once the news of her arrest was known on Tuesday. The deputies Eric Coquerel, Mathilde Panot and Danièle Obono went to the police station where she had been placed in police custody, in the seventh arrondissement of Paris.

The nurse was released on Wednesday. She will be tried in September for "contempt" and "violence without total interruption of work (ITT)" on a person holding public authority, announced the Paris prosecutor's office on Wednesday.
