On June 18, Peng Mei News (www.thepaper.cn) learned from the propaganda department of the Ningyuan County Party Committee that on June 9th, a large number of locusts appeared in the eggplant garden village of Lishiwan community in Baijiaping town and Guantang village in Mianpingping Yao nationality township. . On the 10th, the local agricultural department used plant protection drones to spray pesticides on trees and crops around the village, and agricultural technicians sprayed the grass on the beach.
A locust video sent by a surnamed Zhou staff member of the propaganda department of the Ningyuan County Party Committee showed that there were many locusts on the walls, stone pillars and ground of the villagers' houses. In the video, the villagers said, "There are a lot of them, they all crawled into the house."
The staff member of the surname Zhou said that in the past few years, no locust plague has been heard in Ningyuan County. As for whether the locust is an overseas species, the aforementioned Zhou surname staff believes that "should not be (outside)", but he does not know the specific species of the locust.
According to the official WeChat public account “Ningyuan Release” of Ningyuan County Party Committee on June 15, the deputy secretary of the county party committee and county magistrate Tang He 13 pointed out during the supervision and control of locust disasters in the aforementioned two townships that relevant departments should continue to strengthen their control of locusts.
