Walk-in visits, family access to rooms allowed again… 20 Minutes wanted to know how Korian, in the midst of the storm at the height of the coronavirus pandemic, was preparing his “plan for gradual return to normal” as requested by the government in retirement homes "which no longer report cases of Covid-19".

A visit to the La Riviera nursing home in Mougins, which had to cope with 40 illness-related deaths and where the epidemic was declared stopped, was refused. "The teams on site do not want it, in the face of media pressure," said a spokesperson for the Korian group.

Different routes to avoid crossings

Since this alert, relatives are only allowed to come on registration, effectively awaiting a relaxation of the rules on Monday. “Families will be welcomed without an appointment between 2 p.m. and 5:30 p.m., explains the manager. We will still keep a maximum number of simultaneous visitors, up to ten people, with different routes to avoid crossings. "

In-room visits will be allowed in certain cases, but outside meetings are preferred. Entry measurements will be preserved. Temperature control, mask and overshoes mandatory. Claude also wears gloves to spend a moment with her 92-year-old husband "with multiple pathologies". "We will continue to remain cautious," she said, seated in the garden.

Activities resume

At the same time, activities are resuming and gaining momentum. On Wednesday, an animator made pancakes to taste the boarders. Friday, a singer should come to celebrate the establishment's centennials.

With her head leaning back in a tray, Solange, 93, waits for the hairdresser, who works again once a week in this Ehpad, to finish her perm. “I was not missing the visits, I hardly receive any. I was especially tired of being locked in my room, ”says the nonagenarian there for three years to stay with her disabled daughter.
