Beijing News (Reporter Fan Shuo) On June 17, Tsinghua University issued a notice that the school's graduation ceremony in 2020 will take the form of a "cloud graduation ceremony". The graduation ceremony no longer arranges the degree awarding link, and graduates can return to the school to participate in the degree awarding ceremony in any future year.
According to relevant arrangements, Tsinghua University will hold graduate graduation ceremonies and undergraduate graduation ceremonies on June 22 (Monday) and 23 (Tuesday) respectively. Some teacher and student representatives participated in the square in front of the auditorium, and other graduates of the school participated in the outdoor concentration according to the decentralized organization of the department.
Tsinghua University said that there will be no degree awarding in this graduation ceremony. Graduates in October 2019 and January, April and June 2020 can choose to return to the school in any future year to participate in a degree awarding ceremony.
From June 17, Tsinghua University students stopped returning to school. All students cannot return to school without receiving further notice from the school.
For students who are already in Beijing, the relevant personnel in high-risk street towns and Xinfadi markets are prohibited from leaving Beijing. Others insist on "not leaving Beijing unless necessary". Those who do need to leave Beijing must hold a negative nucleic acid test certificate within 7 days.
Tsinghua University requires that students are not allowed to enter or leave the campus if there are special circumstances. For those who have special reasons to enter and leave the school, strict approval is required. Students who leave the school cannot go to middle and high risk areas, and they must pay attention to health protection. The time for graduates to stay overnight will be delayed accordingly, and a reasonable time will be determined according to the development of the epidemic situation. For graduates who have been in Beijing but have not yet returned to school, they will also be informed of the opportunity to temporarily enter the school, check-out procedures and carry luggage. For graduates who are unable to return to school for various reasons, they can go through the formalities of leaving school online, and after their application and entrustment, the faculty will arrange to help pack and send luggage. The arrangements for applying for luggage storage and transfer accommodation for undergraduate graduates studying at our school remain unchanged.
