During the #MeToo wave in late 2017, five women accused him. Actor Danny Masterson of the That '70s Show and The Ranch series was charged on Wednesday with three rapes he is accused of committing between 2001 and 2003. Los Angeles attorney Jackie Lacey says there is a prescription for a fourth charge, and that there was “not enough evidence” for a fifth. The facts are punishable by up to 45 years in prison.
Danny Masterson is accused of raping a 28-year-old woman in 2001, then two others, 28 and 23 years old, in 2003. The last one was said to have taken place at his home , in the Hollywood hills. Masterson then played Steven Hyde in That '70s Show , a successful series that remained on screen for eight years, between 1998 and 2006.
The actor found Ashton Kutcher in the Netflix series The Ranch . When the charges against him emerged, Netflix found himself under pressure and finally sacked him. The series ended last January after four seasons. Masterson will appear before the judge on September 18.
