Alain Souchon, Laurent Voulzy, Maxime le Forestier, Julien Clerc, Christophe, Thomas Dutronc, Akhenaton, Catherine Ringer, Pomme, Carla Bruni, Clara Luciani and Brigitte are among the artists who participated in the album "De Béart à Béart ( s) "released on June 12. An album tribute to the singer Guy Béart who died on September 16, 2015, and created by his daughters Emmanuelle and Eve on an idea by Charles Aznavour. Guest of "Media Culture" on Wednesday, Emmanuelle Béart explains that she gave all the freedom to the singers to change and thus appropriate the songs of her father.
"How comfortable we are in the arms of someone like us"
Emmanuelle Béart and Thomas Dutronc for example changed part of the text of the title "Qu'on est bien" by Guy Béart, dating from 1958. A song that they both perform on this tribute album. In an approach of inclusiveness, they thus replaced the words "We are in the arms of a person of the opposite sex!" by "That we are in the arms of a person of the kind that suits us".

An approach that is part of a desire to "evolve" this song for Emmanuelle Béart. His father himself "when he used old French songs, changed words," she recalls. "He betrayed with tenderness," sums up the singer and actress. "I am his daughter and I thought that it was in his vein that to advance this song in our time, and in the new couples and new families of today," she underlines. .

In the same way the rapper Akhenaton (IAM) transformed the song "Qui suis-je?" in "Who are we?". Transformations and freedom of interpretation encouraged by Emmanuelle Béart. "I wanted [the artists] to own the songs, to become theirs," she explains. "I did not want us to stay at Béart as in a museum, and therefore that everyone put their identity there".
