At Musashino Central Hospital in Koganei City, Tokyo, 39 patients, including inpatients and staff members in a psychiatric closed ward, were confirmed to be infected by the 9th of this month, targeting approximately 280 inpatients and 260 staff members. We carry out inspections continuously.

According to the hospital, 13 new patients and 2 staff were newly confirmed to be infected by PCR in the week up to 16th. Now there are a total of 54 infected people at this hospital. Infections were confirmed in all persons involved in the psychiatric closed ward, and one person who was negative in the first test became positive in the second and third tests one after another.

The hospital will continue to check the health status of patients and staff, and will endeavor to prevent further outbreaks by taking measures to stop accepting outpatients for the first visit and accepting new hospitalizations.
