[Xiaokang China] Jiangsu Nantong Riverside Scenic Belt: City Living Room in Green Mountain and Green Water
Recently, the reporter visited the Nantong Riverside Scenic Belt in Jiangsu Province and experienced the charm of the landscape culture at close range. Nantong is the most downstream city in the Jiangsu section of the Yangtze River and the "last stop" before the Yangtze River entered the sea. On the south side of Nantong downtown, five beautiful hills such as Langshan and Junshan stand beside the river. In December 2016, Nantong City began to promote ecological restoration and protection of the once "dirty mess" in Wushan and the Yangtze River area. In just a few years, the overall forest coverage rate around Wushan reached 83%, making it a “river-facing city facing the Yangtze River, with birds and flowers”.
From the production-oriented coastline to the life-oriented coastline, the butterfly changes in Wutong Mountain and the Yangtze River area of Nantong are inseparable from the determination and courage of the local strong men to break their wrists. In just a few years, the look here has been refreshed. The five mountains and riverside areas of Nantong are also affectionately known by locals as "urban living rooms" and "Nantong Bund". Today, it has become a good place for citizens and tourists to get close to the Yangtze River and watch the scenery.
