What are you doing for the holidays? In a context of deconfinement in a dispersed order within the European Union and of fears still alive on the coronavirus, the Europeans ask themselves a certain number of questions on their next summer vacation. Can I enter this country? Is quarantine compulsory? Are restaurants, museums open? The European Commission is launching a website and application on Monday to help Europeans who want to spend their holidays in other EU countries.

A site to find out everything about your destination

While many European countries are lifting border restrictions to fight the coronavirus pandemic on Monday, this tool, "Re-open EU", updated regularly and available in 24 languages, provides information on the conditions of travel and stay in the 27 EU countries.

Thanks to this site, the user can access general information on the epidemiological situation of the country concerned, the possibility of circulating there freely, entering it by car / motorbike / motorhome, the obligation or not to be subject to quarantine, to have a medical certificate ...

Information is also available on the opening of non-essential stores, tourist accommodation, restaurants, beaches, museums and heritage sites. As well as whether or not to wear a mask in public places, public transport, physical distance measures, the recommended contact tracking application, possible health protocols for tourists.

Most EU and Schengen countries reopen their borders between themselves on Monday, although the procedures are not always the same, some of them maintaining restrictions for travelers from areas where the infection rate is still considered too high.
