Health still without updating the death toll from Covid while contagions continue to drop: 40 in the last 24 hours

40 new cases of coronavirus have been registered in Spain in the last 24 hours. The figure released this Monday by the Ministry of Health represents a decrease compared to 48 the previous day . The new affected are located above all in Catalonia (17) and in the Community of Madrid (12). The total number of those infected by the pandemic amounts to 244,109 people. They represent 181 more than the 243,928 recorded on Sunday.

For yet another day, the total death toll remains unchanged at 27,136 people. The Health Minister, Salvador Illa, has stated this Monday that he expects that figure to be updated "this week". Official data does record the number of deaths in the last seven days. On Sunday they were 26 and this Monday they are 25.
