The Citizen Climate Convention, which was launched by President Macron in October 2019, is a state response to the yellow vests crisis, as we remember, a new carbon tax was the trigger. A mission was therefore entrusted to 150 French citizens drawn by lot: to propose measures to reduce French greenhouse gas emissions by at least 40% by 2030 in a logic of social justice. The measures proposed by the 150 citizens of the Convention to fight climate change should be presented to President Macron at the end of the next and last session, from June 19 to 21, 2020.
