"All in the kitchen", it's over: the star confinement program with Cyril Lignac ended on Friday. The host Jérôme Anthony tells on our antenna how he lived this special program, which according to him has "a soul" in addition.

INTERVIEW

It was a very emotional Cyril Lignac on Friday who made the antenna for his last of Tous en cuisine on M6. This program launched in the space of a few days will have been one of the successes of TV, all channels combined. And a large part of the French got involved in these cooking lessons which marked the sequence of confinement; until continuing throughout the month of May.

The success of a format with "a soul"

Everyone in the kitchen with Cyril Lignac on M6 has effectively quickly imposed itself against TF1 in the prime-time access tranche, before the front page takes control thanks to Who wants to earn millions ?. But the Six's program has remained a leader on the commercial target of women responsible for purchases under the age of 50 every night since March 26, a hell of a performance. For M6, these audiences have even been records for 4 years!

On the air and in the kitchen, there was of course Cyril Lignac, but also the host Jérôme Anthony. "It was a nice surprise, as I haven't experienced it perhaps in my entire career," confides the latter. "Who arrives at a time when we expect the worst. Doing this live broadcast - it's blessed bread we all know - under fairly perilous technical conditions, it gave this kind of fireworks that happened at the right time. It was done without too much calculation: Cyril was making recipes on Instagram, his producer said to him "why we would not do it on TV?". And the genius of M6 was it only took 24 hours to say 'here we go'. It's not a format that comes from the end of the world, it's something to us: there is a soul. "

A great opportunity to "not take yourself seriously"

One of the strong points of Tous en cuisine was precisely the direct and interaction with the families, who cooked at the same time as Cyril Lignac. "It’s a show that grew in friendship. With Cyril, we love each other a lot, and for a long time Cyril wanted to do shows together, like his producer. When the opportunity arose presented, there was no shadow of a doubt, "says Jérôme Anthony, who also learned from his job as a facilitator through this program.

"I have been thinking for a long time that the next time I have the opportunity to make new projects, I would really like there to be families, children - these are things that are very close to my heart on TV. And it was an opportunity to put it all together. Everything I did in  Tous en cuisine , I had already applied it a few years ago in the Morning: make happenings, put on wigs, s 'have fun and especially not take yourself seriously.'

The producer of the show said on this microphone a few weeks ago that we could imagine Cyril Lignac coming back for a little special moments in the year, and perhaps one day see season 2 of Tous en cuisine . Case to follow!
