Indian security forces found Bollywood movie star Sushant Singh Rajput, dead, at his home in Mumbai, in the west of the country.

Police discovered the body of the 34-year-old star, hanged in his home in Bandra, but it was not yet clear whether it was a murder or a suicide.

Rajput had started his artistic career as a TV actor, making his debut in Bollywood in 2013 with director Abhishek Kapoor in the movie "Kai Boo Shi" based on "Shitin Bhagat".

Rajput played the former Indian cricket team captain Mahendra Singh Doni in "MS Doni: The Untold Story", and he did other works including "Kedarnath", "Suncheeria" (Golden Bird) and "Rapta" (Association).

Rajput appeared in the movie "Drive", which was produced by the television company Netflix.
