A drama and its consequences. A mother and her son in their twenties were indicted on Saturday after their dog, a pitbull who did not wear a muzzle, attacked and seriously injured a septuagenarian Thursday in the Gard, we learned at the Nîmes prosecution.

They were charged with involuntary injuries by assaulting a first category dog ​​with the aggravating circumstance that he did not have a muzzle, and placed under judicial supervision, said the prosecution.

Attack on the face and throat

Thursday, a 75-year-old woman was transferred in critical condition to Marseille after being attacked in the face and throat by their pit bull, in Villeneuve-lès-Avignon (Gard). His condition has since improved, according to the Nîmes prosecution. Before being finally killed, the dangerous dog, who was not on a leash and had escaped its owner, had attacked three women aged 75, 70 and 33.

Seriously injured, the 75-year-old woman had been evacuated by helicopter to Marseille. The other two women, bitten in the legs and slightly injured, were transferred to Avignon.
