We start with the departure of the director of the Paris Opera.

Stéphane Lissner was the head of this institution since 2014. He will end his mandate sooner than expected since he had to leave the Opera in July 2021, he will finally leave in December next. The reason? The extremely complicated situation following the health crisis. The Paris Opera today displays 40 million euros in debt.

His successor is called Alexander Neef, so he will have all the freedom to "straighten the opera on his knees". The economic situation demands drastic and immediate decision-making. The establishment celebrates its 350th anniversary. The whole year was very complicated, particularly with the pension reform. Renovation work will take place this summer in both rooms. The Bastille opera house will open on November 24 and the Palais Garnier in late December. All shows are canceled by then. A part of the artists' remuneration is insured, all the singers will be paid until July 15 between 25% and 30% of their fee.

Stéphane Lissner joined the San Carlo theater in Naples as artistic director.

The Lacoste Festival maintains its 2020 edition.

In the heart of the Luberon, this is a lyric art and theater festival which will be held as agreed from 12 to 22 August. He will celebrate his 20th birthday. Created by Pierre Cardin, this 20th anniversary will welcome quality guests like Gérard Depardieu who will perform Barbara's repertoire. Andrea Bocelli will also take up great opera arias and Marie-Claude Pietragalla is also announced there.

The festival will respect all health regulations. The shows take place in an open-air theater with 1,000 seats. From August 1 to 7, an open-air cinema will be offered with a retrospective of the great musicals presented by Patrick Poivre d'Arvor.

Not everything is maintained in the United States, such as the famous Coachella music festival.

As well as StageCoach Country Music Festival. They were scheduled to take place in California and were originally postponed from April to October due to the Coronavirus epidemic. They are officially canceled. Officials are concerned about reports that the Covid 19 may get worse in the fall. At Coachella were expected this year: Rage Against The Machine, Travis Scott, Franck Ocean, Aya Nakamura and the French Dj Madeon.

The Doors, heroes of a comic strip.

On the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the legendary Morrison Hotel album released in 1970, the group will therefore be the subject of a graphic novel which will retrace the history of the album with the historical context of the time like the War of the Vietnam, the conquest of the Moon, the murders of Charles Manson. Jim Morrison and the other three members will therefore be reunited in this comic. The release is scheduled for October 2020. The cover of the book is inspired by the album cover. The two remaining group members Robby Krieger and John Densmore are involved in the development of this project. The impact of the Doors on society and the musical universe will also be highlighted.

The best rock guitarist of all time was elected by Total Guitare magazine.

This is Brian May, the guitarist of a famous group, Queen. He is therefore in front of Jimi Hendrix and Eric Clapton. The 170 names were divided into six categories: classic rock, blues, heavy metal. Brian May really did not expect it, he says he is very touched while affirming that he has no illusions and that he is far from the great guitarists. For him Jimi Hendrix is still number one.

Rolling Stones Magazine also had this kind of ranking in 2003 and 2011, Jimi Hendrix was first each time and Brian May 39th then 26th.

A little wink signed Salvatore Adamo.

We all know the song "My hands on your hips", released in 1965, great success by Salvatore Adamo. The Belgian singer, very active on social networks during the confinement, decided to offer a barrier gesture version for this song.
