Rainstorms and floods have affected 96,443 people in Chongqing. One person died due to the disaster and the direct economic loss was 40.63 million yuan.

  From 8:00 on the 11th to 8:00 on the 12th, heavy rains occurred in northeast Chongqing, and local heavy rains; the rest of the region was small to moderate rains, and local heavy rains. Affected by heavy rains, three rivers in Chongqing have exceeded the warning level, and 47 small and medium-sized rivers have seen a 1-8 meter flooding process.

  According to statistics from the Chongqing Municipal Emergency Management Bureau, as of 22:00 on the evening of June 11, the flood disaster has caused 96,443 people in 29 towns (streets) in 3 districts and counties, including Kaizhou, Wanzhou and Wuxi, Chongqing, and 1 person died due to the disaster. There were 6 people injured in the disaster and 298 people were transferred by emergency. The area affected by crops was 1130 hectares, of which 139 hectares were unacceptable. 28 houses collapsed and 69 houses were damaged to varying degrees. The direct economic loss was 40.63 million yuan. In addition, many rural roads and other infrastructures in Chongqing have been damaged to varying degrees. The urban waterlogging situation is serious. The deepest water is nearly 2 meters, and a small number of vehicles have been flooded.

  Affected by rainfall, Chongqing Hydrological Monitoring Station issued the orange flood warning and the flood yellow warning successively on the morning of the 12th. It is expected that Chongqing Yunyang Tangxihe Jinjin Station will have a significant water increase in the next 2 hours. The highest water level will exceed the warning water level (190.40 meters) by 0.2 to 0.8 meters, an increase of about 3 to 4 meters. It is expected that the Qijiang Wucha Station in Jiangjin District, Chongqing In the next 7 hours, there will be a significant rise in water. The highest water level will exceed the warning water level (198.51 meters) by 0.4 to 0.9 meters, an increase of about 4.5 to 5.5 meters.

  The Office of the Chongqing Municipal Disaster Reduction Committee has launched the city's Level III emergency response, and Kaizhou District has initiated a Level II emergency response.
