Open to the public from "Baby snake" 13th, Tochigi Nasu-cho, June 12, 14:00

This April, a baby "Snaneko" that lives in the desert areas of Africa, which was first born in a zoo in Japan, will be open to the public at the zoo in Nasu Town, Tochigi Prefecture from the 13th.

In the Nasu Animal Kingdom in Nasu Town, since last October, we have started breeding the world's smallest cat, the snake, which is the world's first zoo in the desert zone of Africa, for the first time in a Japanese zoo. Was born.

The baby was debilitated immediately after birth, but as a result of continued care with artificial childcare, he grew to about 530 grams, which is about nine times that at birth.

When the zoo released the baby's video on the official channel, it has been played 170,000 times, and the lovely figure is already popular.

The zoo decided to open it to the public from the 13th, and the baby will spend 10 days in the exhibition space to get used to the new environment.

Mr. Oshiro Sakurai, who is in charge of breeding, said, “I am happy that all the staff have carefully raised the baby, so I am happy to grow up. I want many people to see the cuteness unique to babies.”

It means that the zoo's baby name will be widely recruited on the website from 13th at the zoo.
