In October of last year, a large fire broke out at Shuri Castle, and major buildings such as "Seiden" were completely burned down. After that, entry restrictions were continued, but it will be almost completely lifted from 12th.

Prior to this, on the 11th, the remains registered as a "World Heritage" in the basement of Tadashi were released to the press.

Before the fire, the remains were under the glass floor on the first floor of the main building, but can now be seen through the windows of a prefabricated hut built for protection.

In the vicinity of the remains, you can also see the dragon's pillar, the dragon pillar, which survived the fire, and the beards and teeth of the dragon's ornaments attached to the roof of the main hall.

In the afternoon, about 30 people from the local residents' association were allowed to enter and watched Shuri Castle heading for reconstruction.

A 72-year-old man said, "I realized that the area around the main building has been improved so much that I am approaching reconstruction."

“I'm relieved to be able to open it tomorrow. I want you to enjoy the view of Shuri Castle that will change with the reconstruction,” said Takehiko Suzuki, director of the National Okinawa Memorial Park Office.
