[Commentary] On June 10, a 100-year-old building weighing about 2,600 tons in Jinan, Shandong-the former Catholic Franciscan Missionary Mother Church was "siting" on 10 large hydraulic flatbed trailers for 76 meters, and the entire process lasted 82 minutes . It was determined as the fourth batch of cultural relics protection units in Jinan on December 20, 2013.

It was built in 1893 and has a history of 127 years. Its entire structure is a three-story brick-wood structure, the wall is a brick wall, and the floor is a wooden floor. The outer dimension of the building is long 36 meters, width is 15 meters, construction area is 1700 square meters, weight is 2600 tons. Due to planning requirements, the entire building now needs to be translated 50 meters to the east, turned at an angle of 20 degrees, and then translated 26 meters to the north to reach its current planned location.

Finally, it took 82 minutes to smoothly translate the Nunnery Club to New location. Therefore, in addition to the pallet structure, The vehicle performance and other aspects have been accurately measured, and the outer wall and interior of the entire nuns’ congregation have been reinforced to prevent collapse and other conditions during the translation process.

Compared with our current building, its integrity and firmness are still worse, so for these walls above the ground, we put a layer of high-grade cement mortar in it to make up for it Wall and repair.
