China News Service, June 11 (Hong Kong Wenhui) reported that the Hong Kong Hospital Authority (HA) has launched an emergency response level since January 25. Public hospitals have been temporarily suspended from visiting arrangements. The Hospital Authority announced on the 10th that it will implement special visiting arrangements in some non-emergency hospitals next Wednesday (17th) to allow family members to visit patients.

A total of 16 hospitals implemented special visit arrangements in the first stage. The ward staff will contact the patient's family members for appointment registration. Family members do not need to call the hospital to make an appointment. Each patient will have a one-hour visit every week, and the hospital will assist in arranging for a visitor to visit during that time.

The HA stated that it will adjust the relevant arrangements in accordance with the development of the epidemic situation, for example, if circumstances permit, consider gradually expanding to other hospitals or wards.

In addition, in order to cope with the curriculum arrangements of universities and colleges, clinical internships in public hospitals will gradually be resumed for students in the medical, nursing, full-time medical and pharmacy departments.
