According to the roads and Sapporo City, the number of newly confirmed infections on the 11th was 7 people, 5 people living in Sapporo City, 1 person in the Sorachi region, and 1 person whose residence is not disclosed. The number of tests was 205.
The city of Sapporo announced at a press conference that the investigation so far confirmed that 10 customers and 10 employees were infected at a coffee shop in the city where karaoke can be performed during the day. It means that everyone is in their 60s and above.
On 9th, another coffee shop was found to have a cluster, and it became the second cluster in Sapporo city related to daytime karaoke.
As one infected person who was attending both stores was confirmed, we are inspecting the concentrated contact person and checking the infection route.
Sapporo City does not disclose the store name because it knows the user.
“We want you to enjoy karaoke while being aware of infections, such as adequate ventilation and disinfection by preparing multiple microphones,” said Mitsuo Mitsugu, director of the Sapporo Public Health Center.
Now there are a total of 1144 people infected in Hokkaido, including 713 in Sapporo. Of these, 91 died, and a total of 931 completed treatment.
