"Breonna shouldn't be dead. Some days I can't breathe without it. It should never happen to another family again. I am Breonna's mother, say her name, ”she says.

On March 13, three Louisville police officers broke into the home of Breonna Taylo, who had a no-knock warrant, that is, they did not need to register before 'enter the premises while she was sleeping. The warrant had been granted by a judge to search for a man involved in a drug case. As CNN recalls, the officers claim to have announced themselves on entering and to have fired because the boyfriend of Breonna Taylor had fired first on them. The victim's family filed a complaint, saying that the police did not announce themselves. The family added that the man wanted by the police was already in police custody at the time of the raid and that they had the wrong address. No drugs were found in the apartment of the woman who had been rewarded by the city for her work as a rescuer.

The police did not carry a camera that could or could not attest to their statements, but they were released. As for Breonna Taylor's boyfriend, Kenneth Walker, he was imprisoned and charged with attempted murder and assault.

George Floyd has since died, too, when he faced American police, and the Breonna Taylor case has taken a different turn.

The FBI has opened an investigation. Louisville police will now have to carry a camera during the raids and the "no-knock" warrants have been suspended by the mayor. The city's police chief has retired. The Kentucky prosecutor has asked to drop the charges against Kenneth Walker.

The three police officers, meanwhile, have been suspended but are still part of the police.
