China News Service Client Beijing, June 10 (Reporter Shangguan Yun) The Palace Museum is a special museum. It was founded in 1925 on the basis of the imperial palace of the Ming and Qing Dynasties, the Forbidden City, and it is now also one of people's favorite museums.

In 2020, the Forbidden City will be 600 years old. Not long ago, the historian Yan Chongnian appeared on the live broadcast, telling many interesting things related to the Forbidden City. For example, how to sort garbage in the ancient forbidden city? Why did Yongzheng move to Yangxin Hall? What are the uses of Wuyingdian?

How to "garbage classification" in the ancient Forbidden City?

Recently, "garbage classification" is a hot word in people's mouth. In ancient times, there were no advanced ways to dispose of garbage. There were so many people living in the Forbidden City. How was "garbage sorting" done then?

"One is manure, which is collected regularly by people. In the past, there was a manure field outside Andingmen, which was very large in area. After being transported there, there was a manure worker to deal with it, and it was sold to the rural areas for planting." Yan Chongnian explained.

"What about coal burning in the Ming Dynasty, coal burning in the Qing Dynasty? What about coal waste? It started to pour out, and Jingshan was also called Coal Mountain. It started to pile up coal, and later piled up coal and nuclear waste. In the end, it was piled up as a Jingshan Mountain." He introduced that when Qianlong was beautified, five pavilions were built, and now it became a scene in Beijing.

As for the treatment of sewage, it is far less strict than it is today. Yan Chongnian further explained that at that time, the population was relatively small, and the garbage was relatively small, especially in the Ming and Qing Dynasties. There was a set of systems and methods to deal with waste products.

Why did Yongzheng move to Yangxin Hall?

Among the many buildings in the Forbidden City, the Yangxin Hall is a bit special.

Since the Yongzheng period of the Qing Dynasty, the Yangxin Palace has replaced the status of the Qing Palace in the inner court, and has become the emperor's palace and the center of daily governance. Eight emperors lived and ruled here.

There are many different versions of the reasons why Yongzheng moved to Yangxin Temple. One of the more "dog blood" reasons is that it was said that Yong had just killed his father Kangxi to get the throne, and he was afraid to live in the Qianqing Palace, so he moved to Yangxin Temple.

"We have no basis for this." Yan Chongnian did not agree with the above explanation. He said that Emperor Yongzheng has a characteristic of being "pragmatic", "Look, walking from Ganqing Palace to Ganqing Gate, it is not easy for the emperor to go when there is heavy snow and strong winds in winter in three or nine days. He moved to the Yangxin Temple and was close to work. Now."

How close is it? In 2014, Yan Chongnian and Shan Jixiang, then the president of the Palace Museum, took a tape measure and measured the distance together. The distance between the two doors was measured three times from the front door of the rear dormitory where Yongzheng lived to the back door of the Yangxin Temple.

"I am one and seven meters tall, and Emperor Yongzheng went to work. It was one and eight meters from the door of the house to the door of the office (the distance), which is ten centimeters more than mine." He sighed.

Is Wuyingdian based on "Wu"?

In addition to Yangxin Hall, Wuying Hall is also a palace that people are more familiar with.

"Everyone goes to the Forbidden City, if you enter the Xihua Gate, you won't be far from Wuyingdian; if you enter Donghuamen, you won't be far from Wenhuadian." Yan Chongnian said that when he sees the name of Wuyingdian, he usually thinks of " "Wu", but in fact it "has written and martial arts".

According to information, the emperor Zhaiju and the minister summoned them in the Wuying Hall in the early Ming Dynasty, and later moved to the Wenhua Hall. Yan Chongnian said that in the Ming Dynasty, such as the queen’s birthday, others congratulated her on Wuyingdian. Of course, this is not true for every dynasty.

In the Qing Dynasty, the nature of Wuyingdian changed, almost completely "literature". Yan Chongnian introduced that the famous "The Integration of Ancient and Modern Books" had a total of 10,000 volumes after printing. It was printed in copper movable type and printed in Wuyingdian. Later, the binding was also in Wuyingdian, so Wuyingdian became a "printing factory" and a binding factory. ".

Indeed, according to records, Kangxi first opened the Wuyingdian Bookstore. In the 19th year of Kangxi, the left and right corridors were set up as book repair offices, in charge of printing and decorating books.

"When Qianlong came to compile the "Sikuquanshu", where was the editorial department? Wu Yingdian, one book and one book proofreading." Yan Chongnian explained, so where should the "Sikuquanshu" be revised? It was in the Wuying Hall, and it was only stored after the repair.

The Forbidden City needs to be viewed from different angles

Of course, not only the palace has a long history, but in the 600-year history of the Forbidden City, there are also many stories worth savoring.

In the new book "Six Hundred Years of History of the Grand Forbidden City", Yan Chongnian sorted out the empresses, courtiers, etc. in the history of the Forbidden City into a biographical biography, and also talked about the construction and treasures of the Forbidden City. There are a total of 100 chapters. Witness the 600 years of the Forbidden City.

"(Speaking) There are too many books in the Forbidden City. Books about Yangxindian, books about utensils, and books about porcelain... My book is characterized by chronicles." In the live broadcast, Yan Chongnian also mentioned his own This work.

He said that the Forbidden City also needs to look at it from different angles, from the historical point of view mainly to see the rise and fall, from the cultural point of view of art-calligraphy as a whole spread, as is painting. All in all, we must take a comprehensive view of the 600-year history of the development of the Forbidden City. (Finish)
