Chantal Thomas, chronicles by the way
By: Jean-François Cadet Follow
The writer Chantal Thomas has collected her chronicles published once a month, from 2014 to 2018, in "Sud-Ouest".
Publicity
For 4 years, between 2014 and 2018, Chantal Thomas published one column per month in the regional daily "Sud Ouest". Small texts like so many picturesque snapshots around a landscape or a reading, a walk or a trip, a sensitive or intellectual encounter with a work of art or with characters, among which many are his longtime fellow travelers. Reunited in the “Fiction et Cie” collection, these little sketches that a writer delivers to her readers resonate as a celebration of the little pleasures of life, of those that we were sometimes deprived of during confinement, and that we rediscover today by tasting all the juice. "Café vivre" by Chantal Thomas has been published by Editions du Seuil.
Déconficulture chronicle : Amélie Beaucour offered herself a little escapade in the Loire Valley, at the Château de Chambord, built at the request of King François I, more than 5 centuries ago. It reopened last Friday (June 5, 2020), and the visit was a bit special. Already because the tourists were few, when they normally number in the thousands at this time of the year. But also because the domain had to adapt to health constraints.
Report : Kpénahi Traoré presents the comic strip "The black mastiffs of the empire", by the Malian draftsman Massiré Tounkara and the French screenwriter Christophe Cassiau-Haurie. An evocative title that refers to these Senegalese riflemen forcibly recruited to go and fight alongside Western forces.
