Johnny Weissmuller utters his famous cry in "Tarzan" - REX FEATURES / SIPA

You must have heard it before in the cinema. If his name never appears in the cast, the laughing Kookaburra is a star who has already "played" in many films like Tarzan , Jurassic Park , Indiana Jones or even a multitude of exotic adventure films more or less famous, since the 1930s to the present day.

This bird, also called giant kingfisher owes the longevity of its career to its specific song which makes think, pell-mell with those of monkeys, felines or other ill-defined animals of the deep jungle. This is why sound engineers have so often used his cry to create jungle atmospheres.

However, as the video of our partner Brut to watch below explains, the laughing Kookaburra lives in Australia, not in the tropics. It frequents eucalyptus forests, bushes, savannas and even city parks. But not the jungle. The Kookaburra therefore flourishes in composition roles.
