At the beginning of June, Tarim River, the longest inland river in China, ushered in the first flood season in 2020 in the Yuli River Basin in Xinjiang, which was one month earlier than in previous years. According to local staff, the water flow reached 60 cubic meters per second. On June 8th, in the territory of Xinjiang Weili County, Tarim River, the rare migratory bird black stork has been visiting this place for the third year in a row. In late May, white swans that originally came to overwinter in winter also appeared in the wetlands along the Tarim River.

From the beginning of 2020 to the present, the region has revived the Tarim River through 20 successive ecological water transfers. The lower section of the Luobu Naoer National Wetland Park has welcomed a large number of migratory birds in the same period, with more than 1200 birds.
