Director Peter Jackson - HeadPress / Starface

The entire cast of The Lord of the Rings , including Peter Jackson, responded to the invitation of Josh Gad for his program Reunited Apart last Sunday. The program, launched during confinement, consists of bringing together legendary castings, like that of Retour Vers le Futur , in order to raise funds for good works.

Elijah Wood, Orlando Bloom, Ian McKellan, Viggo Mortensen, Billy Boyd or Dominic Monaghan therefore appeared from their respective homes, via Zoom. And we can say that the show was a great success since Josh Gad was able to donate $ 1.3 million to the organization No Kid Hungry. But the show was also an opportunity for the actors to reveal some little anecdotes about the trilogy.

A precious moment

Viggo Mortensen notably revealed that he had felt very nervous before filming, when Andy Serkis, who was playing the role of Gollum, admitted that he had not been very excited when he was offered the role. It must be said that the prospect of playing a role that did not let his face appear put him off a bit!

I hope our new episode of #ReunitedApart brings you some light and joy today. #LordOfTheRings is one of my favorite trilogies of films of all time & this episode which we shot together a week ago to support @nokidhungry who are providing children who have come to depend on school lunches with the meals they desperately need now more than ever. This is perhaps our best one yet. I hope you enjoy. Click LINK in BIO to watch now

Finally, Orlando Bloom and John Rhys-Davies had fun recreating a scene from the trilogy while presenting the costumes and other memories they had kept from filming.
