Tokyo will start a service to notify registered users of the outbreak information in the event of a new coronavirus outbreak at a metropolitan facility. The aim is to make people aware of the risk of getting infected and to lead others to take actions that do not affect them.

Tokyo will start a service that informs pre-registered users of the outbreak information in the event of a mass infection occurring at a Tokyo metropolitan art museum, museum, library, etc. that was restarted after the emergency declaration was lifted.

Pre-registration is done by reading the QR code posted at the entrance of the facility with a smartphone and sending the date and time of the infection via e-mail or "LINE", a free communication application.

The aim is to make people aware of the risk of getting infected and to lead others to take actions that do not affect them.

The city will start this service from 27th of this month at 27 metropolitan facilities, and will gradually increase the available facilities.
