Many people have back problems, especially people who do office work, which requires them to sit for long hours.

However, many people do not feel these pain except when making the wrong move or carrying some weights, and some feel pain in the lower back when coughing.

According to the American Natural News website, there are 4 possible causes for low back pain associated with coughing, which may be a warning to back health.

1- Spinal Stenosis: The space inside the nerve channel becomes abnormally narrow, which places more pressure on the spinal cord.

Spinal stenosis may also cause pain, cramping, or even numbness in the lower back and legs, and can be treated with permanent exercise.

2- Muscle tension: the increased pressure on the back during a severe coughing episode leads to temporary injuries known to doctors as "muscle tension".

It can be treated with cold compresses to help with muscle recovery.

3- Lung cancer: Although this condition is few, it causes low back pain, and it may also be an indication of the spread of the disease to neighboring organs.

4- Disc herniation: where there is a group of discs between the vertebrae, which serve as a pillar for the spine to absorb shocks, and erosion of the vertebrae may lead to the slide of those discs.

This may cause numbness, pain, and tingling in the lower back.
