While the final of the 26th edition of Koh-Lanta was broadcast on Friday, its producer, Alexia Laroche-Joubert, welcomed Europe 1: Koh-Lanta was "THE containment program". At the microphone of Philippe Vandel, Alexia Laroche-Joubert affirms that Koh-Lanta has reached "scores (of audiences editor's note ) which had not been seen on television for a very long time". "It was considerable and exceptional," she says. 

Those in the final confirm the trend: 6.93 million people attended the victory of Naoïl on Friday evening, against 3.61 million the previous season.

The producer explains this success in particular by "an exceptional season on the editorial level", in particular thanks to "the meeting between heroes and anonymous". According to her, the spirit of the program was also in line with the reality of confinement experienced by viewers. She believes that Koh-Lanta "fully responded to the joint listening mission and the escape that the public needed".

"Incredible personalities"

On Europe 1, Alexia Laroche-Joubert also explains the success of the show by the profile of the candidates. "This year we had incredible personalities," she says, citing Sam, Ahmad and Joseph. A few days earlier, on Europe 1, the producer had already welcomed this casting.

"There are a lot of personalities within our adventurers who triggered both an attraction and a rejection," she said. Before continuing: "It started a phenomenon of adhesion around them and I think that people will be very happy to hear them speak".
