The court heard that: At about 20 o'clock on November 23, 2019, the defendant Luo Mouming passed a gold shop in Laodaohe Street, Kaifu District, Changsha City, which was operated by the victim Chen. At around 2 am on November 24, Luo Mouming went to the gold store with criminal tools, stole gold and silver bracelets, and hid in a house on Daze Lake Street in Wangcheng District, Changsha City.
After the case was resolved, the police of the Kaifu Branch of the Public Security Bureau of Changsha City seized all the stolen gold and silver jewelry in the room and returned it to the victim Chen. Certified by the Price Certification Center of Kaifu District in Changsha, the value of the stolen property was RMB 1056580.
The court held that the defendant Luo Mouming had stolen other people’s property for the purpose of illegal possession, the amount of which was extremely large, and his act had constituted the crime of theft, and his criminal responsibility should be investigated according to law. The defendant Luo Mouming is a recidivist, and he should be given a heavier punishment in accordance with the law; after the case, he can truthfully confess the crime facts and voluntarily plead guilty and punishment.
