[Commentary] On June 5, Jiang Ge's mother Jiang Qiulian sued Liu Xin (now known as Liu Mouxi) in a dispute over the right to life and held a pre-trial meeting in the Chengyang District Court of Qingdao. At about 11 o'clock, the pre-trial meeting lasted for nearly 2 hours and ended. According to Huang Qiuping, Jiang Qiulian's attorney, the pre-trial meeting mainly exchanged evidence and communicated with the court. Liu Xin's party was not present, and Jiang Qiulian himself was not present.

　　In short, the claim is actually divided into two categories, one is because of Jiang Ge’s death, the related compensation items include death compensation, mental damage compensation, including funeral expenses and some related compensation items; the second aspect is Speaking of Ms. Jiang Qiulian’s handling of criminal proceedings related to Jiang Ge’s murder and reasonable expenses incurred in civil proceedings, the total amount of compensation currently determined is RMB 2,038,123.83.

　　[Commentary] On the day, Jiang Qiulian did not participate in the pre-trial meeting due to physical discomfort, but one day ago, she said in an interview with a reporter from China News Service that she had not been able to meet with Liu Xin since meeting with Liu Xin in the summer of 2017 For effective communication, she will defend her rights through lawsuits for Liu Xin’s various practices.

As long as she took the initiative to contact me, she felt that her life was affected, her own interests were violated, and it was offensive to me. There is no way to normally To communicate this matter. She changed her name just to get rid of Jiang Ge's murder and to start her own life again. But my Jiang Ge was killed because of her, and she just started living like this. It was too unfair to Jiang Ge and I couldn't accept it. I will solve these things through the law, and look forward to the law being fair and just.

　　[Commentary] In November 2016, Jiang Ge, a Chinese student studying in Japan, was killed by his roommate Liu Xin’s ex-boyfriend Chen Shifeng. At the time of the incident, Liu Xin was in the house next door. In December 2017, Chen Shifeng was sentenced to 20 years in prison for intentional homicide and intimidation. Jiang Qiulian believed that Jiang Ge's death was related to Liu Xin, and he filed a lawsuit against Liu Xin after his return to China. On October 28, 2019, the Chengyang District Court of Qingdao accepted the case. The case will be formally opened on June 30.
