Australian actress Cate Blanchett has been injured in a chainsaw accident at her home in southern England . According to the AFP agency, the incident has been more spectacular than serious and has resulted in a cut to the head.
Blanchet, winner of the best actress Oscar in 2005 and 2014 for The Aviator and Blue Jasmine , referred to the accident in a conversation included in her podcast , while interviewing Julia Gillard, former prime minister of her country. "I'm fine. Yesterday I had a small chainsaw accident. It sounds very terrible but it was not the case " said the actress. "Other than a small cut to the head, I'm fine." Gillard replied, "Be careful with the chainsaw. You have a very valuable head."
The actress has also referred to the time she has spent in this quarantine helping her son with his homework . "This time makes me feel more admiration for the teachers."
