Tokyo District Court June 4, 19:22 ordering compensation of over 60 million yen to Nippon Medical School Hospital

Five years ago, at the Nippon Medical School Hospital, the alarm that notified the abnormal breathing of inpatients was turned off, so the family survived the death of a plant and subsequently died. I admitted and ordered compensation of more than 60 million yen.

According to the ruling, a man in his 60s, who was admitted to the Nippon Medical School Hospital in Bunkyo Ward, Tokyo in 2015 with subarachnoid hemorrhage, stopped breathing and became vegetative, and died about four and a half years later.

The bereaved family sought compensation from the university that opened the hospital because the nurses were not aware of it because the monitor alarm was off.

In a judgment on the 4th, Tokyo District Court President Tetsuji Sato said, ``In the hospital, the alarm was set to be checked twice a day by the nurse, but it was set for about 5 days until the sudden change. No one noticed it was off," he admitted to the hospital's fault.

On top of that, I ordered the university to compensate for more than 60 million yen.

Regarding the judgment, Nippon Medical School said, "I can not comment because I have not seen the judgment sentence."
