Jean-Pierre Pernaut, journalist on TF1 and LCI. - IBO / SIPA

The national “JPP” is soon back in the studio. TF1 1 p.m. presenter Jean-Pierre Pernaut announced in a tweet that he was returning to control his television news, starting Monday.

He had decided on March 17 to withdraw from his television news, and intervened in his joker's newspaper from his home.

Happy ! See you tomorrow and Friday for my last two "1pm at home". Nice to have accompanied you during this difficult time. Back on the set of # JT13H Monday .... Bravo to the team of 13h and #JacquesLegros for having worked so well 👏👏 @ TF1LeJT

Not the first time

The journalist, who celebrated his 70th birthday during confinement, preferred to apply the measures decided by the government in the face of the covid-19 epidemic. It was Jacques Legros who officiated in his place at the helm of the most watched JT in the country.

It was not the first time that Jean-Pierre Pernaut, at the head of the 1:00 pm TF1 since 1988, has been absent. He had left the antenna for a few weeks in the fall of 2018 to treat prostate cancer.
