The Cannes Film Festival 2020, which will not be held this year but will give a label, unveiled a list of 56 films constituting its "official selection" on Wednesday evening. They are no longer divided as usual into sections (competition, "special sessions" or even the "out of competition" category).

There are regulars, but also newcomers. On Wednesday evening, the Cannes Film Festival unveiled its "official selection" 2020. A somewhat special selection, which no longer included the usual categories (the official competition, the "special screenings" or even the films "out of competition"), since the Festival will not be held in due form this year. But the 56 films selected will all receive a label.

As for regulars, we find  The French Dispatch  by American Wes Anderson, Été 85 by French François Ozon, or Lover's Rock and  Mangrove by Steve McQueen. Naomi Kawase saw her True Mother selected, as did Druck by Thomas Vinterberg and DNA by Maïwenn.

France is well represented in this selection with also Les Hommes , by Lucas Belvaux, Les Choses on dit les chose que fait , by Emmanuel Mouret or even Goodman , by Marie-Castille Mention-Schaar. Franco-Algerian filmmaker, Farid Bentoumi obtains the label for Rouge . Korean Yeon Sang-ho also qualifies his Peninsula , while Franco-Lebanese Danielle Arbid will present Passion Simple
