Berget Lewis blames the end of her relationship with Maik Galenkamp on the corona crisis, De Telegraaf reports Wednesday. According to the singer, she and the chef were too much on each other's lips during their home quarantine.
"It's very simple, our relationship just didn't survive the corona crisis," said Lewis. "If you have to go to home quarantine, you are constantly on each other's lips. In our case it meant the last straw."
Galenkamp confirmed on Monday that his relationship with Lewis had come to an end around Easter. The chef made no statements as to the reason for the break.
Lewis and Galenkamp had a relationship since 2018. The 48-year-old singer, known from the Ladies of Soul formation with Edsilia Rombley, Glennis Grace and Candy Dulfer, had been married two years earlier to Sebastiaan van Rooijen.
